Här kan ni följa Nordström Kelly Arkitekter och SF Marinas strävan att förverkliga visionen om en flytande stadsdel i Frihamnen. En vision som målar upp en flytande infrastruktur med gator, torg och kvarter. Vårt bidrag till markanvisning etapp 1 mottogs mycket positivt av Älvstranden, och det var nära att vi fick anvisning, men man valde att inte ge markanvisning på vatten. Men drömmen lever vidare!

I utvecklingsarbetet om stadsplaneringen för Frihamnen talas det mycket om att "hela staden". Vi har tagit fram en genomförbar vision som tillför reversibla bostäder och lokaler som blir en mötesplats för alla i staden och som ökar vår kontakt till vattnet.

Our vision for Frihamnen is a vivid neighborhood with floating habitations on the waterscape between the existing piers, the old docklands in Göteborg harbor that are now being under reconstruction. This ecological living district provides a mix of homes and businesses that fits into a small-scale settlement. The proposal is illustrated with images from a 3D model. Well insulated houses with lightweight building techniques, grass roofing, solar panels and community greenhouses.
The proposed construction for the floating port facilities is a strong floating pontoon system developed by SF Marina (team member in the Overseas-vision).

NEW SOCIAL LAND- AND WATERSCAPES
The floating neighborhood is welcoming all visitors with activities such as small shops, cafes, restaurants, artist galleries, kayaking and boat rentals, sports fishing, microbrewery, food trucks, etc. Close proximity to water and a quiet environment without cars, as well as good accessibility from the dock to the buildings.
Suitable for wellness, yoga, health center, activities for allergy sufferers, etc. Guest harbor for small and large boats. Floating Market. Cultivation of oyster and clams, if the water quality allows. Hostels and hotels in small scale.
The goal is for the area is to be an outing destination for the entire city. An innovative state-of-the-art project - a modern, sustainable, floating habitation that attracts visitors from all over the world. The area around the houses should be open for all visitors and the design of the public space between the houses should be inviting to everyone. The squares and streets are sided by shops, cafés and businesses giving the area a public and semiprivate mix.

RESIDENCE FORMS FOR HOUSING MAY VARY: - The modules may have different owners - Public spaces are organized as joint ventures - 3D property ownership - Studios for living and working - Rental apartments - Condominiums - Housing for people with special needs Floating square, splash pool, floating park and playground, barbecue areas contribute to a varied and smallscale settlement that lives all year round. Common greenhouses for both summer cultivation and winter market.

BRING CITIZENS CLOSER TO THE SEA
One of the most attractive properties of waterfront buildings is the shoreline (where the river meets land). In our proposal for floating settlements, the shoreline has been multiplied. The shoreline is at least doubled in the proposal for joy and quality for the Göteborg citizens.
For residents of the floating city, a floating parking for an electric car pool and bicycles is built to avoid burdening the other Frihamnen areas.

SOLUTIONS TO RISING SEAS + REVERSIBLE SETTLEMENT
Advantages of floating settlement: Nice and imaginative quarters on the water with a unique character. The landscape is left untouched and the settlement is reversible and can be moved / removed without leaving traces. Buildings that manage increasing water levels in Göta Älv. Prefabrication and modular construction skills and knowledge are high, both in terms of floating pontoons and houses. Pontoons and houses can be built at the factory and transported on water to Frihamnen.

TEAM
Nordström Kelly Architects and SF Marina have carried out a number of innovative projects. Together we have experience of innovative design, ecological construction, floating house projects and social spaces for residents and at workplaces and establishing detailed plans. We have successfully participated as experts in the integration of sustainable technology in architecture, and sustainable materials in a number of European, Nordic and Swedish research projects, now last Nordic Build "Living in Light" (2017). We hold a number of patents on innovations in solar technology and floating pontoon constructions and In Frihamnen we would like to use basalt fiber reinforced concrete in the jetty.
